1. Pilate's Song

Jesus is Condemned to Death

The verses are sung as a solo, the chorus joins for the
refrain “Kill him! Kill him!...”. The chorus also sings the
Crucify him…” bit in the coda

2. Walk Alone

Jesus Takes His Cross

The whole chorus sings this, mostly in unison, with optional harmony in the middle-eight section ("Death's dark journey calls your name...")

5. Why Me? (Simon's Song)

Simon helps Jesus carry the Cross

The chorus sings the words “Why Me” in the refrain (with optional harmony). Be particularly attentive to the extra “why me” at the end of the second chorus before the change of tempo into the coda. Do not sing the penultimate "Why me?"

6. Veronica's Litany

Veronica Wipes the Face of Jesus

The whole chorus sings the refrain “What have they
done to you Lord” in harmony, as well as the “What
have they done” response at the end of each of
Veronica’s solo litany lines.

Unlike the recording, our live version of this song
begins with a double refrain – Veronica (soloist) sings
it first, then the whole chorus repeats.

7. Fallen Again

Jesus Falls a Second Time

The whole chorus sings this, mostly in unison apart
from the counter melody, which will be assigned to a
small group of female voices.
